Google has agreed a deal to purchase mobile advertising company Admob.
The deal has cost Google £449m in stock allowing Google to take advantage of opportunities in the booming market for mobile devices.
Admob’s platform focuses on adverts for small devices such as iphone and blackberry.
Google has the android phone and may well plan to use the service there too.
Admob founder , Omar Hamoui said: “Our goal has been to make it possible for developers and publishers to bring their products and ideas to mobile with the same business model.”
This is a great asset to Google and confirms the growth of digital marketing strategies for a mobile internet.
